How easy is it to visit Gozo?
Gozo is very accessible from Malta via a ferry service from the northern-most point of Malta, Ċirkewwa (it is part of the Mellieħa locality). There are direct bus routes (at no extra fee) from the Valletta and other localities to the Ċirkewwa ferry terminal.
The trip via the ferry takes around 20 minutes and costs less than €5.
It is also possible to make the crossing by car via the same ferry. The toll for a Car and Driver is around €16, with passengers in the car paying the standard rate (less than €5).
The official operator of the ferry service is a company known as Gozo Channel. The official fares are listed on the Gozo Channel website.
No toll is collected when crossing from Malta to Gozo, and the full toll is collected when crossing between Gozo and Malta.
