Parliament Building
Inaugurated in 2015, the Parliament Building is clad with symbolism.
It consists of two blocks connected together with bridges. Its facade is symbolically made of Gozitan limestone, a local material. The design of the building promotes openness: it includes see-through materials in the street-level, and allows for pedestrian access directly under the parliament building.
Moreover, this is the first building purposely-built to house the legislative branch of the democratic government. This was done to reflect the maturing democracy of the country.
